Renaissance Landscapes is a full service design / build  / consulting landscape firm, serving Kingston, Ottawa, Muskoka, Haliburton, and Peterborough, Ontario.  Our designs range from modern to traditional, urban to naturalistic.  With our speciality being Japanese garden design and construction.

Company president Paul A. Dederer has over 20 years experience in the landscape construction industry.  He personally oversees every aspect of the project from start to finish, including the design phase and on site supervision.  From 1989-91, Mr. Dederer studied Japanese garden design while living in Kyoto, Japan.  In the autumn of 2000, and again in 2007, he toured Japan visiting the major gardens and attending the World Bonsai Exposition.

Mr. Dederer has lectured extensively, including the University of Guelph, and has created gardens in Canada, the United States, England and Japan.
